Brief Information About Abingdon
Abingdon is an unincorporated community in Harford County, Maryland. It is to the north of Baltimore, and near the Bush River. The town was founded by William Paca, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and the third Governor of Maryland. It has Woodside and the Nelson-Reardon-Kennard House, both listed on the National Register for Historic Places.

Consolidation talk hits councilMembers of the Committee of 10 inadvertently ruffled some feathers at Monday evening?s Bushnell City Council meeting, and they were quickly dismissed following their presentation. The members briefly described to the council and others in attendance the school consolidation plan as approved by the Bushnell-Prairie City, Avon and Abingdon school boards and to be voted on in the March 20 election.
