Abington is a town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Its population at the 2010 census was 15,985.
The major industry here during the nineteenth and early twentieth century was the manufacture of boots and shoes. Nearly half of the footwear provided for the Union Army during the Civil War was provided by Abington factories.
