Brief Information About Abiquiu

Abiquiu, or Abiquiu is a small unincorporated town located in Rio Arriba County, in northern New Mexico. In the mid-eighteenth century, it was the third largest settlement in the state.

The fourth movie in the Indiana Jones franchise, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was shot here. Other movies and TV shows have also been shot here, including Cowboys & Aliens, City Slickers, Red Dawn, Wyatt Earp, The Last Outlaw and Earth 2. The Echo Amphitheatre and Ghost Ranch are local draws.
