Brief Information About Ada
Ada Township is a civil township of Kent County in the state of Michigan. Its total population at the 2000 census was 9,882.
Ada is an unincorporated community within the township on M-21, about twelve miles east of Grand Rapids. It is named after the daughter of the first postmaster. The other two communities are the city of Grand Rapids and Lowell. The Ada Covered Bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

According the census estimates for the township, the majority of the population comprises White Americans.
