Adrian is a city in the state of Michigan and the county seat of Lenawee County. It is in Michigan's 7th congressional district, and its population at the 2010 census was 21,133.
The city is sometimes called the "Maple City" for the many maple species found throughout the region.
Making fences and automobiles were historically significant industrial activities in Adrian through the nineteenth and early twentieth century.
The city has a local daily newspaper, as well as a few radio stations. The Adrian City Band is the oldest continuously active community band in the country, founded in 1836. There are opportunities for biking and trekking as well.
