Brief Information About Aitkin
Aitkin is a city in Aitkin County, Minnesota. It is the county seat of Aitkin County, and its population at the 2010 census was 2,165. The city and county were named after William Alexander Aitkin, a partner of the American Fur Company and chief factor of the company's regional operations in the early 19th century. Aitkin hosts a number of festivals, the most famous of which is the World Famous Fish House Parade, which occurs after Thanksgiving. The city has one airport, the Aitkin Municipal Airport.
The population has a majority of White Americans.
