Alfred is a hamlet in LaMoure County, North Dakota. It is an unincorporated area, and one of the five areas founded by Richard Sykes, the rugby player.

It has a licensed boarding home, a grocery store and a Protestant church apart from residences. It also has a small docking area for boats, but it does not have a post office. Though often alleged to be a ghost town, this description is inaccurate as there are residents here.
