Brief Information About Alleman
Alleman is a city in Polk County, Iowa. It is part of the Des Moines–West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area, and its population at the 2000 census was 439. The city was named for early settler John L. Alleman.
The WOI-Tower and the Des Moines Hearst-Argyle Television Tower Alleman with a height of around 2000 ft each are among the world's tallest constructions. Because Alleman is located about midway between Des Moines and Ames, a number of radio and television stations transmit from these towers.
