Amidon is a city in and the county seat of Slope County, North Dakota. With a recorded population of 20 at the 2010 census, it is the second least populated county seat in the country. The city was established in 1910 in anticipation of railroad construction, which never took place.It has a total area of 0.6 square miles, all of which is land.
