Anadarko is a city in and the county seat of Caddo County, Oklahoma. The post office here was established in late nineteenth century, and the name was from the Nadarko Indians, with the A being added by mistake. It has a total area of 7.2 square miles. 0.1 square miles of the area is water, and the rest is land. The city calls itself "Indian Capital of the Nation". The population has a majority of Native Americans, and it is reflected in the town culture.
