As the name suggests, seafood, in Anchorage, refers to any plant or animal grown in seawater and is consumed by humans. Seafood includes sea-water animals like fish and shellfish as well as edible sea-weeds. In some parts of America, all edible aquatic animals are often collectively known as seafood.
