Brief Information About Andover
Andover is a village in Henry County, Illinois. It is the oldest village in the county, and its population at the 2010 census was 578.
The village was founded in September, 1835 by the Reverend Ithamar Pillsbury. In 1975, the Jenny Lind Chapel in Andover was declared to be a National Historic Site and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Andover Animal Hospital open for businessANDOVER The newly relocated Andover Animal Hospital celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting on Jan. 26. "It was meant to be in Andover Township," said hospital administrator Jill Hummel. Her husband, Dr. Harvey Hummel, is the third owner of the veterinary practice, which was founded in 1958 and originally located on Perona Road in Sparta.
