Brief Information About Angel Fire
Angel Fire is a village in Colfax County, New Mexico. Its population at the 2000 census was 1,048. The village has a total area of 29.0 square miles, of which 28.9 square miles is land and 0.04 square miles (0.14%) is water.
It has a base elevation of 8,600 feet and a summit of 10,677 feet. Over 500 acres of this area is skiable terrain, thus it is a popular ski resort destination.
The village hosts Music from Angel Fire every summer, a music festival which has been presenting chamber music concerts to local communities since 1984. Angel Fire venues include the United Church of Angel Fire and Angle Fire Community Center.
Tourism is the most significant contributor to the local economy here.
