Brief Information About Antrim
Antrim is a town in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. Its population at the 2010 census was 2,367. Apart from the town center, Antrim includes the villages Antrim Center, North Branch, Clinton Village and South Village. The town center is defined as the Antrim census-designated place (CDP) and is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 202 and New Hampshire Route 31. It is named for County Antrim in Ireland. County Antrim was the native place of the primary landowner here in the late eighteenth century.
Historically, cutlery manufacturing was an important industry here. The town is now largely a bedroom community for Peterborough and Hillsborough. One of the points of interest here is the Antrim Historical Society & Museum.
