Argyle Township is a civil township of Sanilac County in the state of Michigan. Its population at the 2000 census was 770. The township began in 1872.
Argyle is an unincorporated community within the township. It is named after Argyle, Scotland, by the first settlers who were Scots from Ontario, Canada. Other communities include the historic settlement of Laing, Snover and Ubly.
