Brief Information About Athens
Athens has a total area of about 44 sq. kms. Located at an elevated height of about 490 ft. above the ground level, Athens is situated in the County of Henderson. It is also quite famous as the birth-place of the Hamburger.
The local School district of Athens employs a substantial number of people to provide educational services to the serrounding towns. There are a number of attractive spots in the city which draws a substantial number of visitors in the area during peak season. This provides employment to a large number of locals.
W. R. Hawn is a notable residents of the town.
