Brief Information About Atkinson
Atkinson is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Its population at the 2010 census was 6,571.
The second-oldest co-educational school in the country, the Atkinson Academy was originally established in 1787, and it started admitting girls in 1791. The original building, rebuilt in 1803 after a fire, is still standing, and has four classrooms. The town has a number of other historic structures, including the Atkinson Historical Society and Library, Rockwell School (currently the police station), and many more.
