Brief Information About Attleboro
Attleboro is a city in Bristol County, Massachusetts. Its population at the 2010 census was 43,593. It was once known as "The Jewelry Capital of the World" for its many jewelry manufacturers.
A number of jewelry firms are still in operation here. General Findings, M.S. Company, James A. Murphy Co., Garlan Chain, Leach & Garner, and Masters of Design (which was started by former Balfour employees) are jewelry related manufacturing companies still extant.
The town has a number of museums, as well as a zoo, theater and a riverwalk.
The population predominantly comrpises White Americans. A small percentage of the population comprises people of Hispanic origin.
