Brief Information About Auburn
Auburn is a city in Shawnee County, Kansas. It is part of the Topeka, Kansas Metropolitan Statistical Area, and its population at the 2010 census was 1,121.
The housing development in the city has increased in the last few decades. The city founder's John W. Brown's historic farmhouse and the surrounding land sit 3/4 miles southwest of city limits on a gravel road. It is owned by a family who carries out farming. Most Auburn residents commute to other surrounding cities for work, often Topeka. There are a number of small local businesses as well.
