Auburn is a city in Nemaha County, Nebraska. It is the county seat of Nemaha County, and its population at the 2000 census was 3,350.
The city was formed by the combination of the towns Calvert and Sheridan, in 1882. It then became the county seat, replacing Brownville, a village located nine miles east.
