Auburndale is one of the 13 villages of Newton, Massachusetts.  The village is bisected by the Massachusetts Turnpike.

Auburndale Square is the location of the Plummer Memorial Library, which is run by the Auburndale Community Library , the Turtle Lane Playhouse, and a number of small businesses. A total of twenty places in Auburndale are on the National Register of Historic Places.
