Azalea is a community in Douglas County, Oregon. It is an unincorporated area, which is part of the Roseburg Metro Area. It falls on Interstate 5, to the northeast of Glendale.
The community is named for the abundant alazeas present here, including the Azalea occidentalis and the Azaleastrum albiflorum. The initial name given to the local post office was Starvout, then Booth in 1907, and finally Alazea in 1914.
