Bagdad is an unincorporated community in northeastern Shelby County, Kentucky. The community is at the intersection of Kentucky Routes 12 and 395. It is named after the old railroad station at this location.

Bagdad is the hometown of former governor of Kentucky Martha Layne Collins, Kentucky's first and so far only female governor.
