Bay Saint Louis is a city located in Hancock County, Mississippi. It is part of the Gulfport–Biloxi, Mississippi Metropolitan Statistical Area, and its population at the 2000 census was 8,209. It is also the county seat of Hancock County.

The city was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. Federally funded reconstruction efforts are still going on.

The population has a majority of White Americans. A significant percentage of the population comrpises African Americans.
