Baytown is located within the counties of chambers and Harris in the US state of Texas. It covers a total area of about 86 sq. kms. The town is located at an elevated height of about 35 ft. above the sea level. The local economy is centerd around petroleum and petrochemical industries in the region. Other industries are also growing in the region. Apart from these, there are plenty of oppurtunities in retail, tourism and the media sector. Government, infrastructure, education and the health care sectors also offer plenty of oppurtunities to the locals of the city.
