Brief Information About Blackshear
With a total area of about 4.5 sq. miles, Blackshear is a part of Pierce County in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is also the county seat of Pierce. Blackshear is a part of Metropolitan Statistical Area of Waycross. The city is named after Gen. D. Blackshear, who allowed the construction of a number of bridges and roads in the area. Tobacco is one of the primay agricultural crop of the region and provides substantial scope of employment. A number of schools opeate under the School District of Pierce County. Some notable residents of the town are Nikki DeLoach, Robert (Bob) House etc.
