Brief Information About Blue Hill
Blue Hill is a town of Hancock County in the U.S. State of Maine. Blue Hill is home to the Memorial Hospital of Blue Hill, Academy of George Stevens and the Liberty School. Blue Hill has a total area of about 87 sq. miles. The town of Blue Hill is criss-crossed by some state routes like 172, 15, 177 and 176. The Blue Hill airport is also located in the periphery of the town. Some other towns are located nearby like Brooklin in the Southeast, Penobscot in the northwest, Sedgwick in the southwest and Surry in the northeast. There are quite a few places in the town, which has vast tourism potential. Some of them are Kneisel Hall, Blue Hill Library, George Stevens Academy and many others. Some notable inhabitants of the area are N.P. Stookey, Jonathan Fisher and A.J. Cronin. Tourism is one of the principal economic activities of the region apart from trade and services.
