Brief Information About Bosque Farms
Bosque Farms is a village in Valencia County, New Mexico. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area, and its population at the 2010 census was 4,092.
The land that comprises Bosque Farms has had a number of different owners; it was purchased during the Great Depression by the New Mexico Rural Rehabilitation Corporation. They, in turn, sold it to the federal Resettlement Administration in 1935. It was then given its present name and established as an agricultural community. The poor soil hindered farming, thus, dairy farming became the community's main agricultural industry through the 1960s. Now, the main contributors to revenue are housing and commercial development. It was incorporated in 1974.
The village has a total area of 4.0 square miles, all of which is land.
