Branford is a shoreline town located on Long Island Sound in New Haven County, Connecticut state. According to 2005 census estimates, its population was 29,089. It comprises a number of communities like Branford Center, Branford Hills, Indian Neck, Pine Orchard, Stony Creek, Short Beach, Hotchkiss Grove, and several smaller ones.
The town is known for high-technology companies such as Curagen and 454 Life Sciences.
