Calhoun is a small city located in the County of Gordon of Georgia state. It also serves as the County seat of Gordon. Calhoun has a total area of about 30 sq. kms. and is located at an elevated height of about 660 ft. from the ground level. Most of the local residents are primarily engaged in the tourism sector. The Oostanaula river flows beside the town. There are a number of historical sites in and around the city. Most of them contains some historic value. They attract a lot of visitors in the area around the year. The local school district of Calhoun also offers plenty of oppurtunities. There is a flourishing local media industry with a number of radio and television channels in the area.
