The city of Cameron is located in the county of Marshall. It is said to be a part of Wheeling, West Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area. It has a total area of about 2.4 sq. km. and located at an elevation of about 1067 ft. above sea level. The economy of the town revolves around industries involved in finance, advertising, construction, clothing, insurance, confectionary, oil and lubrication, real estate, food and health care services. Commercial spaces are utilized by yogurt shops, rehabilitation services, night clubs, ice cream shops, clinics, bridal shops, servicing centers for household appliances.
