Chautauqua city is located in the Chautauqua County of Kansas. It has a total area of about 1.2 sq. kms. and is elevated by about 907 ft above the sea level. Churches and religious organizations are an impotant part of the local economy. Apart from churches, small retail shops and stores keep the inhabitants of the town busy.
