A regulated professional broker who buys and sells shares and other securities through market makers or other firms on behalf of investors are known as stockbrokers. A transaction in a stock exchange must be made between two members of the exchange, and an ordinary person may not visit the stock exchange market and ask to trade stock. Such an exchange must be done through a broker in Chicago.
A bond is a debt security in which the authorized issuer owes the holders a debt and, depending on the terms of the bond, is obliged to pay interest to use and/or to repay the principal at a later date, termed maturity. Brokers dealing with such bonds are known as bond brokers in Chicago.
