Choctaw is a small community town located in the County of Van Buren. Choctaw is elevated from the sea level by about 549 ft. Industrial arts including carving of wood, pottery, basket weaving, though the nuber of skilled craftsmen are steadily declining due to limited market. New initiatives like development of a world center for martial arts  is built on land donated by the local residents.
