Brief Information About Claremont
Claremont is a small city of Sullivan County located in the U.S. State of New Hampshire. Claremont has a total area of about 114 sq. kms and is elevated at a height of about560 ft. from the ground level. Though the town was earlier developed as a major industrial sector with a number of industries in the area, later many of them shifted leading to the downfall of the industrial belt. At present most of the local economic activities are centred upon various types of service based industries.
There is the Museum of the Historical Society, Opera House of Claremont and many other interesting places in and around the town which attract tourists from near and far. A few notable residents are K. Hanefield and D. Berry.
