Cornish Flat is a small village of Sullivan County. Cornish Flat is located within the town of Cornish. Apart from various kinds of farming activities, the local industry also includes a Dinghee Machine. There is also a local branch of a savings bank and a Post Office in the area.

Some education has started to gain more prominance in the city, people are also involved with shops and stores.
