Faunsdale is a town in Marengo County. It has a total area of 0.2 square miles, all of which is land. It is named after the nearby Faunsdale Plantation. A medium-sized community of Amish Mennonites reside here, which is their only community in this area of the state apart from Greensboro.
Construction and utilities are the major commercial activities here. Local attractions include the annual Faunsdale Crawfish Festival, and the bi-annual Faunsdale Biker Rally. The Cedarcrest Mennonite Church is the only Amish Mennonite church in this area. The closest hospital is Bryan W Whitfield Memorial Hospital Inc, about 15 miles away in Demopolis.
