A bar is a place more similar to a cafe, where people go during the morning or the afternoon; a tavern is a place of business in Frontenac where people gather to drink alcoholic beverages and, more than likely, be served food. Leisure activities and games may also be provided at taverns. Variety of bars is mind-boggling, as bars and taverns have the same variety as restaurants.

Taverns and bars with an outdoor area where beer and other alcoholic drinks are served, even have signs to advertise their presence to potential customers in Frontenac, and branches and leaves would be hung over the door to give notice that wine could be purchased. Some taverns in Frontenac sell wine as their only beverage, and a customer can also purchase food brought in from a convenient cook-shop. Taverns seldom offer lodgings or very elaborate feasting, such as would be expected at inns or bars.
