Brief Information About Glenbrook
Glenbrook is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, Nevada. It is part of the Gardnerville Ranchos micropolitan statistical area, and is situated at an elevation of 6,250 feet. The community is to the west of Carson City.
It is oldest settlement on Lake Tahoe, and as such playes an important role in the supply of timber to the Comstock and Virginia City. The name comes from two words that describe the geography of the place, "glen" means a secluded valley, while "brook" refers to a team.
