A winery in Greenup is a building or property that produces wine, or a business involved in the production of wine, such as a wine company. These companies own many wineries. Besides wine making equipment, larger wineries feature warehouses, bottling lines and laboratories. These wineries typically employ wine makers to produce various wines from grapes by following the winemaking process, which involves the fermentation of fruit, as well as blending and aging of the juice. One may find farm, micro or urban wineries. Farm wineries usually operate at a smaller scale than commercial wineries.
