Brief Information About Hanapepe
Hanapepe (meaning "crushed bay" in Hawaiian, a reference to landslides in the area) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kauai County, Hawaii. The CDP's population during the 2000 census was 2,153. It is one of the few towns on the island that was not created by the sugar plantations.
It is the headquarters location for the ice cream company Lappert's.
