The town of Harwinton has a total area of about 81 sq. kms. The town is elevated from the sea level by about 795 ft. A major part of the local inhabitants are white in their racial origin and they are engaged in agriculture, transportation and the seasonal tourism sector. Some are also involved with local trade and other small business activities in the town. Some are also involved with local shops and stores in the region.
