'Archery' is an art in which arrows are impelled from the arcus by using a bow. Archery was used for hunting or in warfare in the past. In Lamar in the previous times, archery had a high status value and the usefulness was immense. But with time, archery is used now only as an activity for recreation. In Lamar, archery competitions are held as a part of sports. Different types of bows and arrows are used by the archers participating in the archery competition. In Lamar, bow hunting is also done i.e. hunting of animals using archery. It has been even legalized. Archery coaching is even given to interested students in Lamar.
