Brief Information About Lawrence
With a total area of about 8 sq. miles, Lawrence is a city of Essex County located beside the Merrimack River. Lawrence is also a part of the Merrimack Valley. There are number of manufactured industries located in the city's periphery. Some of the manufactured products are textiles, footwear, computers, electronic equipment among others. All these offer substantial scope of employment to the locals. There are a number of schools and other educational institutes in the area and they offer substantial oppurtunities for employment. Some interesting visiting points are Bellevue Cemetery, Great Store Dam and Public Lbrary of Lawrence. The service sector is also an integral part of the local economy.
