Makawao is a small community town located in the County of Maui. It occupies an area of about 9 sq. kms. It is located at an elevated height of about 1580 ft. above the ground level. Most of the local inhabitants are primarily engaged with ranching and agriculture. Some are also employed with education, healthcare and trade.
