Authorized organizations which are set up with the purpose of preserving the artifacts that are of immense significance to the society, are known as 'Museums'. Museums in McGill are established with the purpose of enlightening the visitors, both children and adults. There are different types of museums in McGill; to name a few:�Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Archaeological, Historical, Anthropological, Technology & Science, Children’s museums, etc.

Cultural programs, exhibitions, lectures are held in museums in McGill. Museums are not only helpful in educating people about specific topics but they are also responsible in spreading awareness about arts and various religions and their cultures. Museums are non-profit organizations.
