Among all the parts in a boat, the important ones are hulls, the masts, deck, rigging, etc. Generally, wood is used by the boat builders for building boats. It is a standard material used by expert builders, especially for small boats. Steel is also used by the boat builders in Niobrara for all-metal hulls or for isolated structural members, since it is strong and lasts longer.
