Nuiqsut is located in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is within North Slope Borough on the Nechelik Channel, an estimation of 35 miles from the Beaufort Sea coast. Inupiat is a local native people who lived in tents while housing was built. Their native traditions were hunting (whale, caribou, fox, ptarmigan, etc.) and the making of native clothes and crafts.
