Papaikou is a small community town located in the County of Hawaii. Papaikou has a total area of about 5.4 sq. kms. and is located at an elevated height of about 237 ft. from the ground level. The tropical botanical garden of Hawaii is located here, and is a major attraction among the residents. Most of the local residents are primarily engaged in agriculture and some are engaged with tourism and small trade.
