Rector is a city located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. It is within Clay County on the southeastern edge of Crowley's Ridge. U.S. Route 49 runs through the city. Rector derived its name from Governor Henry Massey Rector. It has a total area of 1.34 square miles at 36°15′48″N 90°17′36″W. The elevation is 285 feet above sea level.
